Q. Is this Expo for you?
A. Whether you just said "Yes!" last night or you’re checking off the final boxes on your wedding to-do list, this event is designed for:
The Newly Engaged: Start here to get a feel for local styles and costs.
The Customizers: You’ve checked off the big boxes—now find the specialty vendors (like unique rentals or custom decor) that will make your wedding feel uniquely you.
The Support Squad: We love seeing Moms, Maids of Honor, and Best Men! Come help your favorite couple make some big decisions.
Q. I purchased a VIP package. Do I need to be there when you open to pick it up?
A. If you purchased a VIP package, we will have you for you. You can arrive at anytime during the day. All VIP Packages must be picked up at the expo. They will not be held after the show ends at 5pm.
Q. Is there a charge for children?
A. There is no charge for children 11 and under.
Q. Do I have to buy my tickets at the box office or can I buy them online?
A .Tickets are not available for purchase online, but engaged couples can register for prizes online. (One per engaged couple). General admission tickets will be available at the door for $15 plus tax, card and facility fees.. Hilliard Center is a cashless facility, so only credit/debit cards and mobile wallets will be accepted.
Q. What do I need to bring with me?
A. Bring a credit card so you can secure your date when you find the vendors that you know you want to book. And… if you do book at the show, be sure to enter the Cash-for-Contracts drawing where you’ll have a chance to win 10% of your contract amount (up to $250). You can enter once for each contract, so multiple contracts give you more chances to win.
A great idea to save time, is to print out address labels (stock is available at most office supply stores or even Walmart.) Include your full name, your fiancee’s name, contact information and wedding date. If you haven’t set the date yet, just put TBD. (To be determined). Use these labels to enter the vendors’ contests and when filling out forms. It will save a lot of time by not having repeatedly write your information. That gives you more time to actually speak with vendors and get your questions answered.
If you are not ready to book, be sure to schedule your consultation… and keep your appointment. And here’s an etiquette point: If at any time you are unable to keep an appointment, never, never ‘ghost’ them. The vendors work hard to take care of their clients and potential clients, and their time is valuable.
Q. Who should attend the show with me?
A. Anyone who will be helping you make decisions, especially if they will be contributing money toward your wedding budget. And… of course, your fiancé/fiancee, parents, maid of honor and wedding party! There is so much to see and it’s such fun!
Q. Exactly where is the expo being held?
A. Wedding Fair Coastal Bend is at the Hilliard Center in the Exhibit Hall You can enter the parking lot on the Chaparral St. side near the Harbor Playhouse entrance.
Q. Is there a dress code?
A. Dress for comfort. And, by all means make sure to wear comfy shoes!
